It’s time to show up!
I admire the professional growth of Ukrainians over the past three years. Many of them moved to other countries without language skills and with specialised professions. Yet, many have learned more than one language and become fluent, validated their qualifications or mastered new ones, and even started businesses in new countries.
However, the beauty and fashion industry deserves special attention. In Milan, Paris, and New York, more and more of our talented individuals are making their mark—not only as models but also as photographers, stylists, and directors. They are incredibly professional, hardworking, and well-organised.
I’ve noticed a trend: integration required immense effort and time, and for a while, everything seemed to pause… but now, exciting projects are emerging with renewed energy and experience.
I also see this reflected in my own work. I feel more and more like my true self again, valuing my time and carefully selecting the projects I take on.
I am thrilled that my new photos, taken by an entirely Ukrainian team, will feature in the upcoming issue—and, by the way, this marks my first cover in the Emirates!
