Airami Soluna

Airami, you are Mexican, but you also have Polish and Austrian roots. You chose Milan as your home — what made you feel like “this is my place” in this city?

Well, it’s kind of funny — I was traveling a lot before I decided to leave my home country. I visited many cities, but from the very first day I arrived in Milan, standing in front of the Duomo, I felt this inner voice saying, “It’s here.”

Italian culture is also very similar to Mexican culture. Milan is full of life, fashion, art, and creativity — all the areas I work in. It’s a city with constant movement. And the food… what can I say? I absolutely love Italian food.

You first walked the runway as a model at the age of 15. What inner transformations have you experienced over the years in the modeling industry? You’ve worked with top brands — which projects have been the most memorable for you and why?

Yes, the modeling industry isn’t as easy as it may sometimes seem. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot — to be more confident and grounded (which hasn’t always been easy, given the competition), to enjoy every job and learn from each experience to improve.

I’ve also learned so much from the professionals I’ve worked with — every team is different, which is refreshing. Like traveling, it gives you a new perspective. I’ve learned to embrace solitude, stay organized, and maintain my disciplined nature. Being responsible and punctual is crucial — just like in any other job.

I feel lucky to have great memories with all the brands I’ve worked with — from smaller names to the biggest ones. I’ve had the chance to work with amazing teams, and I’m truly grateful for that.

You’re not only a model but also a fashion designer. How does your Mexican heritage influence your style and creative vision? How do you see your role in the fashion industry in the coming years?

I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember — I’ve always been drawn to art, music, and beauty. That’s why I see myself more as an artist than just a model, content creator, or designer. I feel lucky to have this sensitivity.

My Mexican heritage plays a huge role in everything I do. It influences my use of color, my vision, my joy, and the versatility I bring to my work. It’s a beautiful culture, and I’m proud to carry that energy with me.

As for the future, I’ve been working on several new projects over the past two years that are launching soon. I hope to inspire and empower others to love themselves and tap into their creativity. In a world overwhelmed with information, I want to leave a small mark — a grain of sand — in every person who experiences my work and art.

What are three habits that help you stay in shape — both physically and emotionally?

For me, maintaining a healthy, balanced diet is key. I love food, so it’s not always easy — especially with my travel schedule, social life (restaurants, events, etc.), and varying work hours. But with discipline and effort, it works. And of course, I drink at least 2.5 liters of water a day.

I meditate every morning, and I work out around 3 to 4 times a week, which helps both my body and my mind. I also love reading, listening to music, and watching inspirational podcasts from people who motivate me.

Which culture or country has inspired you the most during your travels?

Every country and city I’ve visited has given me inspiration. I have a sensitivity to beauty — I can find it even in things others might not consider beautiful.

But if I had to choose just one city that inspires me in every corner, it would definitely be Paris.
