The main fashion event of the year is just beginning at this moment – the Costume Institute ball MET GALA 2025, which opens a new large-scale exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. It explores how fashion helped to shape identity in the black diaspora and how the phenomenon of black dandies emerged. Among the designers whose works will be presented within the exhibition: Grace Wells Bonner, Pharrell Williams and the late Virgil Abloh. The announced dress code for the Met Gala 2025 is called Tailored for You. The organizers emphasize that the dress code is designed to inspire and gives guests room for creative interpretation. We look at how star guests interpreted and revealed this theme for themselves – from Zendaya in a snow-white pantsuit to Pamela Anderson in a sparkling “doll” dress by Tory Burch.
